Responsibilities: - Installs and configures networks and systems and VPN - Identifies and solves any problems that arise with networks and systems - Consults with CTO to specify system requirements and design solutions - Prepares budgets for equipment and assembly costs - Assembles new systems - Maintains existing software and hardware and upgrades any that have become obsolete - Monitors networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved - Provides network administration and support - Fully supports, configures, maintains and upgrades corporate customer’s networks and in house servers - Installs and integrates new server hardware and applications - Keeps an eye out for needed updates - Support and administers third-party applications - Ensures network security and connectivity - Monitors network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses - Sets up user accounts, permissions and passwords - Resolves problems reported by end user - Defines network policies and procedures - Specifies system requirements and design solutions - Researches and make recommendations on server system administration - Writes scripts to automated recurring task - Maintains system integrity Requirements: - Good command of English - Proven experience in a network administrator role (min. 3 years) - Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching - Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure - Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired - Ability to set up and configure server hardware - Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies - Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
