This is the very cool Tim Armstrong Signature model Gretsch G5191BK from the Electromatic series. This is a very unique Gretsch and is based on the very guitar that Mr. Tim Armstong has recorded with and played on stage for many years. This model and the Billy Duffy Falcon are currently the only modern recreations from the "Baldwin Era" offered by Gretsch. This is one guitar we can unapologetically say is even better than the original! The guitar is a full hollow body arch top with a floating bridge design and parallel bar bracing with a sound post. The sound post adds stability to the structure and increases sustain while allowing the guitar to retain the essential hollow body sound. The neck angle is just right allowing the guitar to be set up with perfect action all along its 22 frets. The playability of the G5191BK is great with nice low action and excellent fretwork. The neck is a "C" style shape with a low profile but not too thin. The new "Black Top" FilterTron pickups are excellent with full bodied tone and a warm vintage character. The bridge pickup is bright and just a bit "twangy" with a well defined mid range and responds very well some overdrive. The neck pickup is mellow and springy with a more "scooped" tonal character and sounds great when played clean.

Replica de Gibson Les Paul (China) melhorada em termos de perfomance. E uma excelente replica construida exactamente com as mesmas madeiras de uma original Mogno para o corpo e braco e tampo em maple, ate a escala e em Rosewood o que neste momento ja nem as originais trazem devido a raridade de encontrar esta madeira que esta na lista das madeiras em risco de extincao. Foi feito um novo refret com acerto dos trastes e escala para ficar com uma tocabilidade e accao excelentes,os pickups sao ceramicos de origem(ephiphone) mas foi feito um potting para melhorar a qualidade dos mesmos. Levou potenciometros novos e toda a parte electrica melhorada. E uma excelente replica com um som e tocabilidade muito boa. Por mais 100 euros posso fazer um upgrade aos pickups rebobinando os com as mesmas expecificacoes dos PAF e passando os para alnico 5 (som vintage). Sou Luthier de profissao e como tal todas as guitarras que vendo vao com set up completo feito e todas a funcionalidades o mais perfeito possivel. Tocando nela da para perceber a qualidade que tem e pelo preco e uma exelente oportunidade para quem procura uma guitarra Tipo Les Paul sem o custo exagerado de uma original. Estou a vender esta e outras guitarras da minha coleccao porque tenho demasiadas guitarras e tambem pretendo realizar algum dinheiro para investir mas minhas proprias guitarras que construo. Foi utilizada como hobbie, apenas para passar algum tempo e sempre dentro de casa. Só saiu à rua para trocar as cordas. Está imaculada, sem um único risco ou sinais de utilização. Em Março de mandei-lhe fazer um setup (troca de cordas, ajustes nos pickups e acção) na Fratermusic, um conceituado Luthier da zona Norte. Ficou com um som impecável, óptimo sustain e fácil de tocar. Neste momento apenas precisará de trocar as cordas pois mesmo sem uso estas têm tendência a oxidar. Esta guitarra tem a particularidade de poder soar como uma Les Paul mas também como uma Stratocaster graças ao seu coil-tap. O coil-tap permite que cada humbucker se "transforme" num single coil para dar aquele som "strat". E isto apenas com o puxar do botão de tone. Spear guitar - get them while they're young !!
