Great sounding amp, everything works perfectly. This is a very rare amplifier that was only made for 1-2 years in the late 70's jmp era and was also know as the rock 'n' roll baby. This 2150 combo is the same circuit as the holly grail of marshalls the 4 hole 1959 slp super lead head in combo form. The only differences being a few differences in cap/resistor values and the very useful master volume (so you don't need and attenuator to get some gain). The stock speaker was replaces as it was crap, it now has a well broken in Celestion G12b-150 which is a good match as it has lots of bass and tames the trebles nicely. Cosmetically there is a tear on the cloth, a few scuffs on the tolex and some of the text has wore off the control panel but for its age its in great condition (no rust like a lot of these amps seem to have). It has been used lots and toured with, has always been reliable. Has just been serviced and had new matched set of JJ EL34 output valves, all new electrolytic capacitors, two new input jacks as the others were kaput. Very clean inside with all original transformers, resisters etc, no hum and working very well. It has the 70's standard 4 inputs, 2 dark sounding, 2 bright and a high and a low for each. The channels can be jumpered of course. Each Channel has its own gain dial, there is a full eq section of treble, middle, bass, presence and a master volume. On the back there is a speaker output ohm selector, a voltage selector and 2 speaker jacks which can be connected to a 4x12 which sounds great

This is a very unique Gretsch and is based on the very guitar that Mr. Tim Armstong has recorded with and played on stage for many years. This model and the Billy Duffy Falcon are currently the only modern recreations from the "Baldwin Era" offered by Gretsch. This is one guitar we can unapologetically say is even better than the original! The guitar is a full hollow body arch top with a floating bridge design and parallel bar bracing with a sound post. The sound post adds stability to the structure and increases sustain while allowing the guitar to retain the essential hollow body sound. The neck angle is just right allowing the guitar to be set up with perfect action all along its 22 frets. The playability of the G5191BK is great with nice low action and excellent fretwork. The neck is a "C" style shape with a low profile but not too thin. The new "Black Top" FilterTron pickups are excellent with full bodied tone and a warm vintage character. The bridge pickup is bright and just a bit "twangy" with a well defined mid range and responds very well some overdrive. The neck pickup is mellow and springy with a more "scooped" tonal character and sounds great when played clean.

The RBX270J is equipped with two powerful pickups that can be used to create a wide range of bass guitar sounds. The front pickup (neck position) is a P-type split single-coil. This produces a warm, punchy tone that's great for diverse playing and music styles. The pickup by the bridge is a J-type single-coil and has an incredibly bright, clear sound. With the balance knob (middle potentiometer) you can choose the sound from the neck or bridge pickup and every combination in between. Furthermore, you have a lot of choices with the master volume and master tone, for example you use these to filter out high frequencies for a woolly jazz sound. Cut from the right stuff The body of the RBX270 has a comfortable, unique form with two cutaways that give you free access to the 24th fret. Additionally, the long upper horn ensures that the bass has excellent balance whether you're sitting or standing. The body is made of solid alder, which is a lightweight wood with tight, full lows, rich mids and bright trebles. The neck also offers excellent playing comfort thanks to the comfortable thin profile. Finally, the bass is equipped with four closed die-cast oil bath tuners. These are self-lubricating so they keep dust and dirt away and are easy and supple to adjust, with the additional benefit of having outstanding tuning longevity.
