The resulting soundscape is quite a seductive place to spend some time: instruments unfamiliar to Western ears played with total authority, half-formed but seductive melodies and mantralike vocals, all driven by some of the most sinewy, deliberate, forceful bass you'll ever hear. With this bass beating you silly, the extra items in the kit, like the flute and oud dueting on "Many Questions" or the plucked grand piano on the first track of the "Time to Take a Rest Suite," etch themselves all the more sharply into your consciousness. Would that all touring was this productive; Psyco on da Bus, at its best, is truly transporting.

Great sounding amp, everything works perfectly. This is a very rare amplifier that was only made for 1-2 years in the late 70's jmp era and was also know as the rock 'n' roll baby. This 2150 combo is the same circuit as the holly grail of marshalls the 4 hole 1959 slp super lead head in combo form. The only differences being a few differences in cap/resistor values and the very useful master volume (so you don't need and attenuator to get some gain). The stock speaker was replaces as it was crap, it now has a well broken in Celestion G12b-150 which is a good match as it has lots of bass and tames the trebles nicely. Cosmetically there is a tear on the cloth, a few scuffs on the tolex and some of the text has wore off the control panel but for its age its in great condition (no rust like a lot of these amps seem to have). It has been used lots and toured with, has always been reliable. Has just been serviced and had new matched set of JJ EL34 output valves, all new electrolytic capacitors, two new input jacks as the others were kaput. Very clean inside with all original transformers, resisters etc, no hum and working very well. It has the 70's standard 4 inputs, 2 dark sounding, 2 bright and a high and a low for each. The channels can be jumpered of course. Each Channel has its own gain dial, there is a full eq section of treble, middle, bass, presence and a master volume. On the back there is a speaker output ohm selector, a voltage selector and 2 speaker jacks which can be connected to a 4x12 which sounds great

The bass, drum and synth waveforms in particular are very powerful. The filter section is notoriously potent, and besides the standard pitch/filter/amp sections, there are so many modulation capabilities, that I see this as a good module for programmers. The steering and motor direction were controlled using external punch cards which slowly progressed through the control system. It took some practise before you got experienced enough to program the car to drive between a bunch of traffic cones as per the explanation on the box. How to program You had to feed a strip of card into the front. The card had notches cut into it, depending on the notches the toy car would steer left/right, and go forward or backward. This is one guitar we can unapologetically say is even better than the original! The guitar is a full hollow body arch top with a floating bridge design and parallel bar bracing with a sound post. The sound post adds stability to the structure and increases sustain while allowing the guitar to retain the essential hollow body sound. The neck angle is just right allowing the guitar to be set up with perfect action all along its 22 frets. The playability of the G5191BK is great with nice low action and excellent fretwork. The neck is a "C" style shape with a low profile but not too thin. The new "Black Top" FilterTron pickups are excellent with full bodied tone and a warm vintage character. The bridge pickup is bright and just a bit "twangy" with a well defined mid range and responds very well some overdrive. The neck pickup is mellow and springy with a more "scooped" tonal character and sounds great when played clean.

Line 6's latest products are USB boxes that turn your computer into a low-latency amp-modelling system. Line 6's Toneport UX1 and UX2 are computer recording interfaces aimed at the guitarist or bassist who might also want to record vocals and other instruments. In each case, you get a two-in, two-out USB audio interface with mic, line and instrument inputs and a suite of amp and effect modelling software derived from the Pod XT and Bass Pod XT, plus some newly added vocal preamp models. The modelling effects on offer here are not plug-ins, but operate directly on the input source before the host application. The benefit is that you can hear your effected input signal with no perceptible latency when recording, regardless of how large a buffer size you set in the host application. Both packages come with exactly the same Gearbox software (as well as a cut-down version of Ableton's Live 4 loop-based sequencer) and offer the same sound quality. What's different is that the UX2 has more connectivity options and features a nice pair of frog-eye meters, as well as phantom powering for capacitor microphones. Both use USB connectivity and draw their power from the USB buss so there's no need for an additional PSU. However, as with all USB interfaces, it's best to connect the interface to a dedicated USB port rather than a hub.

Strange enough, this is one of the most underrated effect units, really hard to find one these days and for good reason; easy to use, very nice modulation effects, robust, relatively small and light... Steve Macleod of harmonycentral.com says: I bought the A300G when it first came out, and at the time it was the best bang per buck effect unit out there with reasonably low noise... I still use it a lot on clean patches, it meshes nicely with my Marshall Valvestate 100 when I send the left side to the main amp input and the right side to the effect loop plug. I find I can set up just the right balance of effect this way. The stereo output is a very nice feature. Delays, modulations, reverbs are quite good, and some of the patches are very unique. (much better than Digitech or Zoom) If you like to make your own sounds then the AX300G is for you, but if want emulation, I would say look elsewhere. I still own it and still use it reguarly, so I guess that says something about it.
