Por favor ler com atenção até ao fim!!! Aqui para venda: um Carvin SX100 modelo de 1987, made in USA, recuperado e customizado. Possui o famigerado drive 12" British Series de 100W a 8Ohm, cujos poderosos graves fazem lembrar o Celestion Vintage 30 ou o Marshall Lead 80, alimentado pela também poderosa secção MOSFET de 100W. Um solidstate que soa algo a válvulas. É um dual-channel (lead+clean), com switchable overdrive no canal lead. Tem equalizador paramétrico de 3 bandas independentes e presence para cada canal e um master reverb. Tudo switchable através de um f/s de 3 botões. A separação entre os dois canais é perfeita, dando-lhe grande versatilidade, pois permite ter duas guitarras ligadas diretamente ao amp para alternar entre diferentes setups sonoros, sem perda de potencia, dispensando a necessidade de um pedal A/B. Tem ainda um bass cut no canal 1 (lead) que permite baixar o sinal para ligar o overdrive sem ter que baixar o volume, apenas com um toque no FS. O Carvin SX-100 caracteriza-se principalmente pelo som redondo e poderoso do British Series 12", com grande punch dos graves e um recorte perfeito do crunch do overdrive. O canal limpo tem um som cheio e bem sustentado, tornando-o adequado para um grande número de estilos e formas de tocar diferentes, com mais ou menos efeitos adicionados, do jazz aos blues. Há alguns reviews na net que apontam para uma maioria das preferências concentradas no canal limpo por parte dos utilizadores. Pessoalmente, acho o canal lead muito bom, com um crunch muito grunge. A intervenção de recuperação e melhoramento deste compacto americano começou por uma rigorosa revisão da eletrónica às mãos do competentíssimo @LuthierNelsonVaz (@OficinadosInstrumentos, @OliviaGuitars) com destaque para a substituição da fonte de alimentação e do reposicionamento do reverb tank no fundo da caixa, retirando-o do chassis do amp (de modo a minorar as interferências da fonte de alimentação) - uma fragilidade original deste amp. A meu cargo esteve a intervenção de recondicionamento da case. Retirada a feia e estragada alcatifa antracite (típica dos 80's) optou-se por substituí-la por um Tolex beige/castanho tipo Marshall, e todas as ferragens foram descontaminadas e lacadas a preto mate. Atrás, como este modelo não possuía trave de proteção do cone, o Nelson entendeu colocar-lhe uma de madeira (nogueira) envernizada, dando um toque ainda mais exclusivo a este pequeno grande Combo. Last but not the least, como este senhor veio até mim sem footswitch, o que constatei ser um sério handicap, pois o f/s permite a gestão remota dos canais A/B e a seleção de efeitos I e II (overdrive/reverb), tratei de sacar na net o esquema do pedal original e a tarefa da sua construção coube ao também magnífico #MikaPedals que fez um belíssimo, original e eficaz custom FS36 footswitch! Posso fornecer amostras de som por mensagem ou mostrar pessoalmente em Braga exclusivamente aos seriamente interessados. O preço será sempre algo negociável, mas não estou interessado em trocas por outros amp, mas posso considerar a retoma por alguns pedais de efeitos, nomeadamente Morley pedal volume ou outro expression MXR '74 Custom Shop Phase 90 ou clone deste Boss Waza Craft Chorus Dusky Augustus Octave Fuzz Boss Dynamic Wah. Great sounding amp, everything works perfectly. This is a very rare amplifier that was only made for 1-2 years in the late 70's jmp era and was also know as the rock 'n' roll baby. This 2150 combo is the same circuit as the holly grail of marshalls the 4 hole 1959 slp super lead head in combo form. The only differences being a few differences in cap/resistor values and the very useful master volume (so you don't need and attenuator to get some gain). The stock speaker was replaces as it was crap, it now has a well broken in Celestion G12b-150 which is a good match as it has lots of bass and tames the trebles nicely. Cosmetically there is a tear on the cloth, a few scuffs on the tolex and some of the text has wore off the control panel but for its age its in great condition (no rust like a lot of these amps seem to have). It has been used lots and toured with, has always been reliable. Has just been serviced and had new matched set of JJ EL34 output valves, all new electrolytic capacitors, two new input jacks as the others were kaput. Very clean inside with all original transformers, resisters etc, no hum and working very well. It has the 70's standard 4 inputs, 2 dark sounding, 2 bright and a high and a low for each. The channels can be jumpered of course. Each Channel has its own gain dial, there is a full eq section of treble, middle, bass, presence and a master volume. On the back there is a speaker output ohm selector, a voltage selector and 2 speaker jacks which can be connected to a 4x12 which sounds great
