ACEITO RETOMA This page is about the RG270 from 19982002, made in Korea. For other RG270 models The RG270 is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1998. This model replaced the very similar RG270R as well as a previous model with a maple fretboard. This model was made in Korea, but in 2001 and 2002 another model with the same name was produced concurrently in Japan. The RG270 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a single locking tremolo bridge and Ibanez Powersound pickups. For 2002 the SLT101 single-locking tremolo was replaced by a ILT1 double locking tremolo. This Korean-made version has a different bridge, nut, tuners and hardware color than the Japanese-made version, but is otherwise similar.
